Message	I just wanted to note the ECUs went from 8 bit to 16 bit in late 1993 for the NAs and late 1994 for the TTs. Most folks on here think there's no difference to engine performance but then why did Nissan switch over? My guess is faster and smoother engine control as well as enhanced engine safety (knock sensor) is part of that answer. If you determine anything more please write it up.
